Sep 3, 2020. . Florida Power & Light recently awarded Irby the construction of the world''s current largest battery storage facility project called Manatee Energy Storage Center. This 409MW/900 MWh energy storage center, the equivalent of 100 million iPhone batteries, will begin construction in September and is scheduled to be completed late 2021.

About the Project. The El Sol Battery Energy Center is a proposed energy storage facility in Maricopa County, Arizona. The project is located on approximately 33 acres of private land immediately adjacent to an existing utility substation. The project will help meet Arizona''s growing electricity demand, particularly in peak use hours.
